What Is a Dedicated Number and How Does It Work?

Learn what a NonVoip Dedicated number is, how 30-day private access works for inbound SMS, and how country and carrier options work.

A Dedicated number on NonVoip is a private Non-VoIP number rented for a 30-day access period. You choose a country (and a carrier where the catalog offers it), keep the line for your account, and receive inbound SMS during that rental.

What Is a Dedicated Number?

A Dedicated number is a rental line that stays private to your account for 30 days. You pick it from country inventory—US, UK, CA, AU, or HK—and, for the United States, you also choose a carrier when that option is listed.

You can use the same number across different services during the rental and read inbound SMS in your NonVoip order. It is not a short public session for a single OTP.

How Does a Dedicated Number Work?

  1. Open Dedicated numbers and choose a country (plus a US carrier when shown).
  2. Place the order for 30-day access.
  3. Use the assigned number wherever you need inbound SMS during the rental—including more than one service.
  4. Read messages in your NonVoip order while access remains valid.
  5. Renew from the dashboard if you want to keep the same number when the period ends.

What Does “Dedicated” Mean on NonVoip?

On NonVoip, Dedicated means the number is capacity for your account during the rental—not a shared Short Term session. You select from listed countries and carrier options, then keep that private line for inbound SMS.

How Long Does a Dedicated Number Stay Active?

Dedicated access is 30 days. That is how long NonVoip keeps the number available for inbound SMS on the order. The dashboard shows when that window ends.

You can renew anytime while the number remains renewable, so you can keep the same line. Auto Renew can continue the rental when the option is enabled and the number is still eligible. If you do not renew, access to that assignment stops at the end of the 30 days.

Can a Dedicated Number Receive Multiple SMS Messages?

Yes. Dedicated numbers are built for ongoing inbound SMS during the 30-day rental—not a single message. You can receive repeated verification SMS, including codes from more than one service, while the order is active.

NonVoip keeps the line available for incoming SMS throughout that window. Each destination can still throttle resends or block a send. If a code does not arrive, use SMS verification code not received.

  • Regional inventory (US, UK, CA, AU, HK, and other listed countries)
  • Ongoing inbound SMS, including more than one service on the same number
